"He looked simply too big to be allowed, and so wild – long tangles of bushy black hair and beard hid most of his face, He had hands the size of trash can lids, and his feet in their leather boots were like baby dolphins" 

Given the imagery in this description, I'm not surprised that the generators have taken the passage literally, or that the majority of the pictures are drawings rather than photo-like.

 Again, this description was taken from a fan-site:

The generated images look closer to how his brothers were depicted in the film, so I think I'll say this is a success, maybe with the exception of the extra fingers in the final image!
